Something About The Green Doors in Rome.

The first day, Ben and I crossed over the Tiber River on one of Rome’s beautiful white bridges into the heart of the city — it was love at first sight. Immediately, we entered a maze of chaos and beauty. Every turn took us deeper into the magic.

It was our first full day in Rome, and we were rushing a bit to make it to the Roman Baptist Church — a 40-minute walk we were attempting to do in 30. We had empty bellies and slightly stuffy noses from cold recovery, and yet I’m sure everyone knew we were tourists by the ear-to-ear grins we wore while swiveling our heads back and forth, trying to take it all in.

There were sweet-smelling cafés with little wicker chairs out front and bright checkered tablecloths, leather purses of all different colors spilling out of their store fronts, terracotta buildings, bricks, vines, flowers, and all the green doors you could ever want. BELLA BELLA BELLA!
