Punting in Cambridge

A day in Cambridge with Katie! What a treat.

The morning of our journey Katie had her phone stolen out of her hand but she persevered and met us at the train station. What a lady.

We took the train up to Cambridge and set about discovering the glories of old England. One of our first stops, after the local bakery of course, was a cow park! How can we bring these to America? Next stop was the Punting docks. After Katie and I convinced Ben this would be fun and worth the cost — it totally was — we settled on taking a self guided trip down the river Cam. This was harder than it seemed at first but we got the hang of it and leisurely went along the river, full of willows, bridges, and stunning colleges.

We enjoyed a market where we had lunch from different vendors as well as walking the streets and some scenic pathways, and pursuing through some shops.

Last stop of the day– we settled into the “que” for the Kings College Evensong. A first for me. It was a beautiful and intimate service.

Thanks for the great day Katie !
