Wachau Valley

Kai took us to the Wachau Valley for a day trip. This was incredible in December so I could only imagine it during peak harvest time.

The graveyards are small so after a period of time – they dig them up and someone else replaces them. Pictured is the storage of all the dug up bones.
The beautiful Danube flowing behind us.
King Richard the lionhearted was imprisoned here on his way back from the Crusades.
